Welcome to 4th grade! My name is Linda Iwen. I am very excited about the 2017/2018 school year. I intend to make this year an enjoyable experience and a complete success for everyone.
My teaching career of 27 years began at Curtis Strange Elementary. I taught there for ten years. I then transferred to Washington Middle School where I instructed all subject areas for another ten years. After my years in middle school, I chose to return to elementary and picked Grewenow because of its great reputation for being such an excellent school. The students and staff at Grewenow have made these last years of teaching my happiest.
I have been married to my wonderful husband, Roland, for 27 years. We have two incredible children. Michelle is 23. She just graduated from Carroll University with a degree in nursing and is employed as a registered nurse at United Hospital in Kenosha. My son is attending University of Wisconsin – Madison and is studying to become a teacher. My husband, daughter, and son are all part of the fire/rescue service. My husband and son are both firemen and my daughter is an EMT (emergency medical technician). Jack the cat completes our family.
I enjoy anything that involves spending time with my family and being outside. I especially like going for walks and riding my bike. I have a passion for learning and hope to share my love for learning with my students.
