I am Mrs. Schilz your Library Media Teacher. I have been at Grewenow since 2013. Prior to Grewenow I taught at a few schools in the Milwaukee area. I began teaching 2nd grade in 1986. Later I taught 3rd grade and computer skills at the elementary and middle school levels. I received my Bachelors in Education from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee and my Masters in Instructional Technology from Cardinal Stritch University. I have teaching licenses in early childhood, elementary, and library media K-12. My website is here.
When I am not dabbling in technology and books I spend my time with my family. My husband and I have have been married since 1983. We have 2 adult children and 2 grandchildren who are the lights of our lives. I enjoy being outdoors which includes, but is not limited to gardening, water activities, photography, and physical fitness.
I absolutely love teaching at Grewenow and thoroughly enjoy working with the families and staff. The library program is expanding into robotics, computer programing, coding, circuits, and many other areas of study thanks to our wonderful Makerspaces. Come in and check it out when you visit!
