My name is Anne Knapp and I am excited to be part of the wonderful Kindergarten team at Grewenow Elementary! This will be my 24th year teaching Kindergarten in the Kenosha Unified School District, with this being my 5th year at Grewenow.
Kindergarten is a challenging and exciting year in the life of a child. For many children this is their first experience away from home all day every day; and, for some, their first school experience. We will be very busy with a wide range of language arts, math, writing, social studies and science activities. Additionally, the students will have special area classes of art, music, physical education, library, and guidance.
I have a passion for teaching, especially at the kindergarten level. I really enjoy the excitement on my students’ faces as they realize how much they are learning in my classroom throughout the school year. I believe every child should be valued and treated with respect. I am committed to making your child’s year in kindergarten an amazing and rewarding experience while building a solid foundation to his/her academic career.
